As beauty is subjective, there is no clear answer. Nevertheless, Banff National Park is Canada, the Swiss Alps in Switzerland, and Mount Fuji (Japan) are all popular choices for stunning snow-covered scenes.

Snow is everywhere and you don't know where it might be. We don't even know there are mountains of snow or ice. For thousands of years we have heard stories about snow. It is amazing how much our perceptions of reality change as we learn more about the globe.

Although snow seems ubiquitous, its beauty can be very rare. Only 1% of the Earth's surface is covered in snow and ice. To find the most beautiful snow you have to go somewhere unique.

Snow is amazing no matter where you look. It's hard to imagine the feeling of snow falling on a mountain top or drifting across a frozen lake. Do not miss out on these amazing places simply because they are far away or too cold.

Traveling to places where snow is common is the best way to get it. If your destination happens to be near a ski resort or a glacier, you'll probably be able to witness some breathtaking scenes. You can also visit these sites online even if your destination is not near one of them. Numerous websites offer a good overview of snowfall from space.

A local ski hill, or hiking trail might be worth your time. You will often find signs at these spots that mark the areas where there is heavy snow. This information will help you plan your trip.

Where is the best place to spend winter in the US?

There are three distinct regions in the United States where you'll find more snowfall during winter. Each region offers unique experiences for snowboarders or skiers.

The Midwest is home to some of the country's largest ski resorts, including Mt. Brighton (Michigan), Crystal Mountain Resort Minnesota, and Breckenridge Mountain Resort Colorado.

Many small towns and villages are located in the Northeast, like Stowe (Vermont), or Killington (VT).

Finally, you'll find Whistler Blackcomb (British Columbia) and Sun Valley (Idaho) in the Pacific Northwest.

Some of the most popular ski resorts are found in the Midwest. These resorts offer many trails, and other winter activities like snowshoeing or ice skating. Additionally, you'll find that lodging in the Midwest is generally more affordable than elsewhere.

The Northeast is famously known for its smaller, more intimate skiing resorts. You can also find some of the finest powder skiing in the nation. If you're looking for a true winter wonderland experience, the Northeast is the place to be.
