The Best Places in America to Ice Skate During Winter
The best places to ice skate in the USA during winter include Lake Placid, New York; Saratoga Springs, New York; Burlington, Vermont; Lake Tahoe, California; and many others. Some of these locations can be considered world-class resorts; others are great spots to ice ski without having to pay anything.
New York's Olympic Center is located in Lake Placid. This center hosts figure skaters competing for the Winter Olympics every four years. It's one the most popular places in the country for ice-skating. There are many public areas nearby that allow you to ice skate outside. There are ice rinks available in Saratoga Springs (which hosts the annual National Figure Skating Championships) and Burlington, Vermont.
