Canada has many great ski resorts that are more affordable if you are looking for something more economical. Lake Placid (New York); Saratoga Springs (New York); Burlington, Vermont; Lake Tahoe (California); and many more are the best places to ice ski in the USA. Some of these locations are considered world-class resorts, while others are just great spots to ice skate without paying any money.
The Olympic Center in Lake Placid, New York is where figure skating competitors compete every four years at Winter Olympics. It's one the most popular places in the country for ice-skating. You can also ice skate outdoors in the many parks nearby.
